I like photography which tells a story and forces the viewer to use a bit of imagination. My photographic heroes are a bit predictable: I love Richard Avedon's work, and Helmut Newton's. Of more contemporary photographers, Richard Kern, of course, David Hilton, Rebecca Tillett, Chip Willis, Fox Harvard and hundreds of others. I love people like Sabrina Dacos who just do what they feel.

I grew up inspired by punk rock. Not the postcard punk rockers from the Kings Road, but angry young men like Stiff Little Fingers and the Clash. I still have that outsider attitude but it manifests itself in different ways now. I don't really chime with the mainstream and I hope that comes across in my photography. I don't have anything against Playboy/glamour work - it just doesn't do anything for me.

I'm genuinely intrigued by sexuality and inhibition. Everybody wants sex. That's what all the Ferraris and Rolexes are for and what the fake tan and Vajazzles are all about. And sex is all around us, and it's free. Except it's not - it's all so complicated and I find that fascinating. It's ironic that so many people have no inhibitions about being naked or near naked on a beach packed with thousands of strangers, but would be horrified if a colleague or neighbour saw them in their underwear.

When choosing models I like to choose models who are a bit different and who have a bit of attitude. That's more important to me than cup size or how much experience they have got. If you are a model or would like to model for me, and are in the London area, get in touch today.
